The Thought of Death Must Inspire Us to Do More

If you accept death as reality of life and not fear it. By keeping death a little bit closer to us and respect it, we would live our lives a little bit more consciously and a little bit more meaningfully.

Like Will smith said, I am willing to die on the treadmill. So achievements and fulfilment in life take a lot of effort and time. The journey and process of realizing the fruits of hard work could be time consuming but it is worth it. Getting hurt, feeling the pain, dealing with misery , trying and failing is part of the process and hence it is worth it.

We need commitment to work on our passions. We are scared to commit to our passions because we lack self-confidence. We do not trust ourselves that we can commit to a cause and see through it.  I think most people just don’t spend enough time by themselves and for themselves. They want constant engagement externally and like to be distracted so that they can distant themselves from their inner fears. They would like to be the illusion of being busy so that they can just ignore the harsh realities that hit them hard.

Being present and doing the best daily is important. It’s very challenging to be present in current society because there’s so many things pulling our attention. Taking out some time for ourselves, working on our passion projects, nurturing our hobbies and interests, knowing and learning something new daily, sharing and adding value to others even in a small insignificant way are some of the things that keeps us going. These are some of the things that keeps us hopeful for tomorrow, that keep us alive in the daily grind, that keeps us motivated and ward off negative thoughts, that let us focus on our best interests and sideline trivialities of life.
