Ideology of Shiva and Path of attaining Shiva

The goal in attaining Shiva is Moksha (liberation) or achieving Shivatva (the nature of Shiva) by removing the three bonds
• Anava (Ego)
• Karma (Actions)
• Maya (Illusion)

Shiva perfectly embodies the balance of opposing forces :

Ascetic (in meditation) and Householder (with Parvati and his family).
Fierce (as Rudra or Bhairava) and Benevolent (as Shankara or Bhole Nath—the simple, innocent one).
Cosmic (Mahadeva) and Immanent (residing within the heart of all beings).

His acceptance of outcasts and simple lifestyle emphasize humility and equality among all beings.

Third eye – Spiritual wisdom, the ability to see beyond illusion, and the power of higher consciousness.
Nataraja – The eternal rhythm of the universe: creation, preservation, destruction, illusion, and liberation.
Shiva Lingam – The union of the unmanifested (Shiva) and the manifested (Shakti), representing the cosmos and the Creator as one.
Crescent Moon – Time, cycles, and the control over the mind.

Ideology of Shiva:

Shiva the Absolute, formless, and transcendent reality that is the ultimate source of all existence, beyond time, space, and form.
Atman/Bramhaan : Shiva is seen as identical with the Atman (the individual soul) and Bramhaan (the ultimate universal spirit), meaning the divine lies within every being. The goal is Self-Realization—recognizing this inner divinity.
Shiva and Shakti : Shiva represents the static, transcendent consciousness (Prakasha), while his consort, Shakti (Parvati/Devi), represents the dynamic, creative energy (Vimarsha). They are an inseparable union, symbolizing the perfect balance of male and female, consciousness, and power, without which creation cannot occur.
Destruction of Ignorance: On a personal level, Shiva’s destructive power is aimed at annihilating ego (Anava), ignorance, and worldly attachments (Maya), which bind the soul.
Detachment : His classic form as an ash-smeared ascetic, meditating on Mount Kailash, symbolizes the importance of detachment from material desires and worldly distractions as the path to inner peace and spiritual growth.
Inner Stillness: He embodies the ideal state of deep meditation and inner stillness necessary for transcending the mind and realizing the Self.
