Your effort to improve raises with the unfortunate situation you are facing

The harder your life is, the more effort you need to put in to improve your life. The more uncontrollable and unfortunate events happen in your life, the more conscious effort and deliberate energy you need to dedicate to get better. People by default believe that they would get help when they face traumatic event and taken care of when they become victims of an unforeseeable circumstances. But, the hard truth is that those people who are experiencing trauma and pain in life are the ones who must muster strength and faith to work harder to see a positive change in their lives. Your struggle to live a life of hope and faith exponentially increases depending on the negative situation you are in.

Comparing with people who are having smooth phase of their lives would not resolve your issues and trauma in life. We will never know what is going on in others lives. A very rich person as be hated by own family or may be suffering from an untreatable illness or may have betrayed by own people. A person who does not have a lot money may still be doing a nice job providing for their family leading a healthy lifestyle.

All of us go through rough patches in our life and everyone has their own demons inside them. Our issues may subjectively look smaller or bigger compared to what others are going through. Having gratitude for what we have in life would enable us to objectively assess the situation and do the best we could do with what we have and where ever we are.

‘Om’ means accepting your life without expectations

The word ‘Om’ means simply accepting the life without expecting. There are three options for any situation in life either you can accept it or change it or leave it. You will be miserable and resentful if you do not take one these decisions.

Like if you can change it and choose not to change it or if you can accept it but choose to not to accept it or if you can leave it but choose not to leave it , then you are entering into the domain of disappointment, frustration and anxiety.

Nobel prize syndrome paradox

“Nobel disease” or “nobelitis” is an informal term for the tendency of some Nobel Prize winners to embrace ideas that are considered strange or scientifically unsound, usually later in life. The term refers to the inflated ego and excessive self-confidence that can come with the Nobel Prize, and how this can lead to Nobel Laureates spending their later years pursuing pseudoscientific, impossible, or insane ideas. For example, Linus Pauling, the 1954 Nobel Prize winner for chemistry, studied the impact of high doses of vitamin C on schizophrenia and cancer, and some have claimed his data is flawed.

The Mandela Effect

The Mandela Effect is a psychological phenomenon where a large group of people share a false memory about a common event or image. The term was coined in 2009 by paranormal researcher Fiona Broome after she misremembered that Nelson Mandela died in prison in the 1980s. In reality, Mandela was released from prison in 1990, served as South African president from 1994 to 1999, and died in 2013.

Rules work best for people who create rules

People who make rules make rules that works best for the people who make the rules. Powerful people who have money and control do not frame rules that they need to follow rather they create rules to control others. They create rules in such a way that the rules would stop common people from questioning the authority.

We have fundamental rights, we have freedom of speech, freedom to do lot of things until you remain insignificant, non-influential. There is no problem what ever you say or do until you have least impact and does not shake up the existing money generating systems in the society. The moment you have name and following and use your rights and freedom to question the status-quo of the existing norms and ask people to critically think for themselves, then your rights and freedom will immediately trampled and suppressed. Critical thinking and self-reliance is harmful for business and economy though it is very much beneficial to us.

  • You can have believes but don’t let your believes dominate and over power your rational thinking.
  • You can hold on to certain ideology but don’t let the ideology have a grip on your compassion and generosity.

To many choices makes it stressful

Stress comes from running from pillar to post checking out for a better deal rather than sticking to an option. Having limited options to choose from makes us content with what we have and satisfactory because we do not have the fear of missing out on better options. Unlimited democracy without fundamental duties is like that having too much of freedom and rights which may result in chaos.
