We generally do not hate the idea but hate the ideator

Many great ideas and intentions die not because we don’t like to idea but we don’t like to person who is proposing it. It’s not like people don’t like honest and sincere thoughts, but they don’t like the leader who is implementing it.

Hence we criticize and reject instead of supporting the idea that is actually good for society. Maybe partially because they don’t want the person who they don’t like to take the credit for improving the living conditions.

Our acceptance of the noble ideas that beneficial are colored by the perception of the people proposing those ideas. Majority of the times, good intentions of leaders perceived through the lens our impression of the person who has that intention.
