Why we self-sabotage new found wealth

Many people fail and fall back to their ‘comfort level’ or we can call the level of ‘familiarity’ when their fame or money does not match their mindset or self-awareness or skillset. When people do not go through the grueling journey on their way to success, they would not develop that anti-fragile nature to be resailant and grounded when they have what they want. Generally it is quite common for people to take short cuts and bypass the trials and tribulations of becoming successful. People want to enjoy the glory quick and fast. You keep it when you work for it.

The mental, emotional and spiritual development is extremely essential for anyone to be level headed with tolerance when they experience the extravagance and comforts of wealth and prosperity. Many people who became wealthy and famous by going step by step through different phases of carrier and riches tend to develop a mindset to not go overboard when everything is working for them. They take advantage of the good fortune within their means and they have the self-control to never let their lifestyle dominate their earnings. Many great minds always stress upon keeping our lifestyle grounded so that it does not become a burden when there is low dip in our income.

Our brain unconsciously rejects or sabotages that is not familiar to it. It is an evolutionary behaviour for us to get scared and become irrational with anything that is new to us. Whether is a good event or a negative event, if that is something that we are not used to, then it is unfamiliar to us. An unfamiliar situation has some uncertainties along with it which is stressful and in a way scary to it. So for many people it becomes subconsciously overwhelming to self-sabotage the new fortunes and new success that they are experiencing in life.
