- A person who needs to continuously take decisions and make choices from the time he wakes up in the morning would generally do not have much power over the how the day runs. Rather it is mostly decided by the external circumstances and programmed by others.
- Certain tasks and activities that are related to one’s own wellbeing, maintenance and growth must become habits just like brushing teeth as soon as you wake up. For example, working out, doing yoga or meditation, eating healthy food on time, going to sleep on a specific time, family time etc., These activities must be habitual and must not go through a ‘to do’ or ‘not to do’ decision making process. They must be feeling-less and non-emotional. They must not be dependent on any external factor and must not be associated with ‘If’ and ‘but’.
- Taking decisions at different parts of the day for different activities is exhausting and depletes our will power (our mind muscle). You must create certain daily rituals that are done with discipline and consistency.
- Write down your daily disciplines, your standards and values. These must be independent of external circumstances and must be completely in your control. These activities must be the pivot that could make your daya a little better during tough times.
